Happy Birthday Lil Z

I have been "planning" this first birthday party when I found out I was having a girl.HAHA!  Oh well...I know Lil Z won't remember any of this, but I do have a lot of photos to show for it. 
Our friend Christal made you a special cake and all our favorite friends were there to celebrate the miracle you are Lil Z.

Lil Z had her first Easter and we had a little fun photoshoot with her brother.

Catalina 2013

Luke's class took an educational trip to Catalina Island and we all decided to go tag along.  I grew up here in CA my whole life and I have never been to Catalina.  Even though we were on the side where there is only camping it was nice to be there.  We spent 3 days there and the baby and I had our own cabin.  Our days were full of activities that were all centered around God our creator.  L was able to snorkel and kayak around the bay and enjoy racing against other schools. It was a fun trip, but it so nice to be back in our warm, cozy home.

10 months

Lil Z is growing up way too fast. Her favorite toys so far are the little yellow lion and her brown haired doll.  She like to growl sometimes and always wants to ear what we eat and seems to have a really good appetite.
You have been pretty healthy and for that we are thankful.  We are very blessed to have a wonderful son and daughter that bring us so much laughter and joy.

9 months

Lil Z is really showing us her silly personality and loves to be around her big brother.  Her first tooth came in and instead of crawling she has found a way to scoot around. 

Christmas 2012

This was Z's first Christmas and it was spent with just our little family of four.  I love being in KY with my in laws and due to the high cost of airfare it's not always possible. We woke up around 8 ( I love how my 8 month old sleeps through the night) I fed the baby,  put the roast together then we got Luke and opened our stocking, made breakfast, read the Christmas story and finally opened presents.

Eight months already...wow!  Time goes by so fast.  Z started to clap and kind of bop up and down to music...so cute!  She's definitely a mama's girl, at times only wants me to hold and she sure loves hanging out with her big brother.  LJ is such a HUGE help and takes care of her without me asking him too.  We're about to have our first Christmas with lil Z and even though we're far away from family it will be special none the less.

Z has grown so much this month.  Saying Mama and Dada and even bye, bye.  She even started waving.  Z hasn't started to crawl yet, but has mastered siting up on her own.  She talks so much even though she seems delayed in her physical milestones.  She definitely is a people person and will smile and anyone who will look at her.  She eats so well and so much too and continues to sleep 11-12 hours a night!!!
