Fun with Friends

It's always great to hang out with friends at the beach. We enjoyed a little bonfire for Jessica visiting from Washington. Thanks Katelynn for the wood and goodies, my hubby for helping start the fire and Jess and her towel for blocking the wind and Luke for our entertainment.
It's always a blessing to see Jess and hear about her ministry with the youth in Washington.

Vacation Bible School 2008

This years theme was Power Lab: learning about the power of Christ in our lives.

I was the game director this year and as usual, Luke and I had a blast.

East Africa here I come!

Well Friends,
About two months ago I was approached by Becky Marx with the possibility of going to Africa for two weeks on a missions trip. The only set back was the $$$. Of course I prayed, friends prayed, I prayer some more. I specifically asked the Lord if I can have confirmation of this trip by Monday, July 7th so I have time to get everything I need to travel overseas. Monday morning July 7th, God provided a ticket to Africa. Wow!!! Isn't our GOD GREAT!!!
Becky Marx and I leave August 7 and return Friday August 22.

Please pray for travel safety, OUR HEALTH and for the m's' time of refreshment and renewal.

He is the potter, we are the clay

I'm in a Bible study on Tuesday nights and our topic is Can We Talk? Soul-stirring conversations with God.
Today's study was on Jeremiah 18:3-6 and it really spoke to me and I had to ask myself a couple questions: Am I still moldable? or have I hardened myself to the changes God has for me?

God has the power over the clay (us) and He continues to work with us to make us into a useful vessel.

We must remain moldable and conform to His ways or we will harden the wrong way.

Disneyland June 2008

Luke and I and Arin enjoyed a great day at Disneyland.

Luke is really into Indiana Jones and he was barely tall enough to get on the ride, so it was fun watching him throughout the ride

He is all we need

Lamentations 3:22-26

-The Lord's lovingkindness indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail.
-They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfullness.
-The Lord is my portion, says my soul, therefore I have hope in Him.
-The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the person who seeks Him.
-It is good that he waits silently for the salvation of the Lord.
